Attleborough

Attleborough is situated close to Snetterton Race Circuit and the A11 corridor - linking Norfolk to London and the other major road networks across the UK.

The town has been subject to rapid growth with a business park and other developments along the A11 gateway. Having been recognised as a key employment site it has now gained European funding to drive its economic growth forward.

Attleborough can be traced back to the Saxon times. The traditional industries of turkey-rearing and brush-making still takes place. The turkey on the town sign is said to depict the days when Attleborough turkeys had their feet dipped in tar to with stand the journey along the drove roads to the London markets.

The town boasts a thriving main street with a mix of well known high street names and local independent stores. Visitors are spoilt by the choice of five different coffee houses and an increasing number of craft and jewellry outlets. There is a local market in the town centre every Thursday.
